Schalke have been one of the surprise-packages of the Bundesliga campaign. The men from Gelsenkirchen are currently sitting second in the German top-flight table heading into this weekend’s final game of the season at home to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Schalke managed by highly-rated rookie boss Domenico Tedesco, have built their campaign on solid defensive displays, as the home side have the third best defensive record in the Bundesliga.

The home side has already booked their place in the Champions League for next season. They will now be looking to finish their good campaign with a victory.

Tedesco’s side has been not been as consistent of late in the German top-flight. However, they are unbeaten in four league games, last time out winning 2-1 at Augsburg.

Schalke have been impressive on home soil in the German top-flight, having won four of their last five outings. A 1-1 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach saw a run of four wins on the trot come to an end.

Eintracht Frankfurt have enjoyed another solid campaign in the Bundesliga. Boss Niko Kovac has done such a good job that he will be managing German champions Bayern Munich next season.

The visitors are currently seventh place in the Bundesliga, a point outside the Europa League spots. A draw may be enough for the visitors to seal a top-six finish if sixth-place RB Leipzig loses this weekend.

A 3-0 home win over Hamburg last time out ended a terrible run of form in the German top-flight consisting of four defeats and one draw. Frankfurt’s recent Bundesliga games have been high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in seven of their last eight outings in the German top-flight.

Forebet predicts that Schalke will record a victory in a high scoring clash and end Frankfurt’s hopes of sealing a European spot for next season.
