Dundee set to frustrate struggling Ross County
On Tuesday night, Ross County host Dundee at the Global Energy Stadium, as the home side look to move off the bottom of the table.
Ross are currently heading for the Championship, as they are two points behind Partick Thistle in the relegation play-off spot and a further three points behind Hamilton Academicals with just two games remaining.
Stuart Kettlewell’s side has been on a horrendous run of recent form, recording just one win in their last ten SPL outings. However, it has not been all bad news for the home side of late, as they have lost just once in their last five league games. The problem is they have drawn three of those five games, including last time out when they drew 1-1 at relegation rivals Partick Thistle.
The home side’s recent SPL form has been poor, with just one win in their last nine outings on home soil. However, once again they have drawn too many games, with six of those aforementioned nine home games finishing all square.
Dundee are safe from suffering relegation and courtesy of their superior goal difference to Partick, they should be safe from having to play in the relegation play-off too.
The visitor’s recent SPL record has certainly been a mixed one. Neill McCann’s team have won just two of their last nine games in the Scottish top-flight. However, both of those wins have been in their last three league outings.
Dundee have a poor recent away record in the SPL, as they have won one of their last six games in the Scottish top-flight, suffering four defeats in the process.
McCann’s team have also failed to score in three of their last four away games, netting just once in that barren run in front of goal.
A draw would be enough to confirm Dundee’s safety, while it could be see Ross suffer relegation. Forebet predicts the game will finish all square in a low-scoring encounter.
