Eagles to soar against the Hornets

Eagles to soar against the Hornets

On Saturday afternoon, Crystal Palace have the chance to move further clear of the Premier League relegation zone as the Eagles visit out-of-form Watford.

Watford have hit a terrible run of form of late in the Premier League, losing four of their last five games in the English top-flight, including losing 1-0 at Huddersfield last time out.

The Hornets recent top-flight games have been high scoring, with four of their last five games producing over 2.5 goals.  A big factor in those high scoring games is that Javi Gracia’s side have conceded at least two goals in four of their last five league outings.

Watford’s home form has been inconsistent of late, as the Hornets have won just three of their last seven games at Vicarage Road in the league. Their recent home games in the top-flight have been high scoring, with seven of the last nine games producing over 2.5 goals.

Crystal Palace head into this clash five points above the relegation zone. However, a win will put Roy Hodgson team above the home side in the top-flight table.

The Eagles are starting to pull away from the relegation zone after one defeat in their last four league outings. Last time out the visitors recorded a 3-2 win over Brighton.

A key to Palace’s relative improvement in form of late is that the Eagles have scored two or more goals in three of their last four outings in the Premier League. Winger Wilfried Zaha has hit form of late, scoring three goals in his last two top-flight appearances.

Despite a recent upturn in form, the Eagles have won just one of their last six games on their travels in the top-flight. Hodgson team have also conceded at least two goals in four of their last six top-flight games on their travels.

Forebet predicts that Palace will record a win to move one step closer to Premier League survival.
