Lazio and Roma set for a draw in entertaining derby

On Sunday night, Lazio and Roma go head-to-head in a potentially crucial game in the battle for a top-four spot in Serie A.
The two teams are on level points in the table, but Lazio are currently third-place on goal difference ahead of their city rivals. The pair are also only one point clear of Inter in the race for Champions League football next season.
The home side has a decent record in Serie A, having won two and drawn two of their last four league games. Simone Inzaghi’s side has won their last two league matches. Last time out in Serie A, they won 2-1 at Udinese.
Inzaghi’s side has found form in front of goal of late, scoring two or more goals in three of their last four Serie A outings. Their home record in the league has been patchy of late, as they have won just two of their last five outings on home soil.
Roma’s recent league form has been inconsistent of late. However, the Giallorossi head into this clash on the back of a 3-0 victory over Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-final second leg.
The win was enough to see Eusebio Di Francesco’s side through to the last four of the competition, which will certainly lift spirits in the visitor’s camp.
The Giallorossi have won six of their last nine league games, so that is also a big positive for the nominal visitors heading into this clash.
The visitors have lost just one of their last ten away games in Serie A, although five of those games have finished all square. Their recent away games in Serie A have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in ten of their last 12 games on their travels.
These two teams are evenly matched, so Forebet’s prediction of a high scoring draw is unsurprising.
