Nacional to return to the top of the Uruguayan Primera Division

On Thursday night, Racing Club host Nacional at the Parque Osvaldo Roberto in the Uruguayan Premier League.

Racing has made a mixed start to their league campaign so far this season, having taken seven points from their first six games of the season in the Uruguayan top-flight.

However, the Montevideo side are now unbeaten in three league games following a draw and two straight wins in the league, including last time out when they won 1-0 at Fenix.

Both teams have scored in three of their last four games in the Uruguayan top-flight, although the game against Fenix was the odd one out.

Racing has a woeful recent home record in the Primera Division, winning just two of their last 15 games on home soil. However, one of those home wins was in their last home game in the league, when they recorded a 2-1 win over Rampla Juniors.

The visitors could go top of the table with a victory in this game, having won five of their last six league games. Last time out, Nacional recorded a 2-0 win over Defensor Sporting.

The game ended a run of six high scoring games in a row for the visitors, which means six of their last seven games have produced over 2.5 goals.

Nacional has a good recent away record winning six of their last eight games on their travels in the Primera Division. However, they have lost two of their last four away games.

The visitor’s recent away games in the Primera Division have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in six of their last seven away games, including their last four games on their travels.

Forebet predicts that Nacional will record a victory in a high scoring encounter to continue their good start to their league campaign.
