On Monday night, Manchester City could move one-step closer to winning the Premier League title, as the Citizens visit struggling Stoke City.

Stoke are 19th in the Premier League table, a point away from safety, although their goal difference is the worst in the league. Last time out Paul Lambert’s side drew 0-0 at relegation rivals Southampton.

The draw has been a common theme in the Potters recent league games, as four of their last five top-flight games have finished all square. Their recent outings in the Premier League have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in five of their last six league outings.

The side from the Potteries have won just one of their last ten games in the Premier League. Their recent league form at the Bet365 Stadium has been inconsistent, although they have suffered just one defeat in their last five outings.

The visitors head into this clash 13 points clear of second place rivals Manchester United at the top of the table. Pep Guardiola’s side are close to sealing the top-flight title and a win in the Potteries would move City one-step closer to their third Premier League title.

A 1-0 home win over reigning champions Chelsea in their last league game means that the Citizens have now won five of their last six outings in the English top-flight.

Guardiola’s side have actually only won one of their last four away games in the Premier League. However, that win was in a 3-0 hammering of Arsenal at the Emirates in their away game in the league.

City have scored two or more goals in seven of their last ten away games in the top-flight. At the other end of the pitch, the visitors have kept clean sheets in four of their last six outings on their travels.

Forebet predicts that Guardiola’s side will record a potentially crucial victory in a low scoring game.
