Cherries to pick off the Terriers
On Sunday lunchtime, out-of-form Huddersfield Town host in-form Bournemouth at the John Smith’s Stadium.
After a steady start to life in the Premier League, Huddersfield have dropped down the table to 19th place following a five-game losing streak in the English top-flight. Last time out the Terriers suffered a 2-0 defeat at Manchester United.
The Yorkshire outfit are only in the relegation zone on goal difference, so even a draw in this clash could be enough to escape the bottom three.
David Wagner’s team have struggled for goals of late in the top-flight, scoring just once in their last six top-flight games. The fact that the Terriers have conceded two or more goals in their last five top-flight outings has not helped either.
The home side have failed to win in five league games at the John Smiths Stadium, picking up two draws and suffering three defeats.
Bournemouth have undergone a renaissance of form in recent weeks and moved into the top half of the Premier League table. Last time out, the Cherries recorded a 2-1 home win over Stoke City at the Vitality Stadium.
The win means that the south coast side are now unbeaten in seven top-flight games. The visitors have also scored two or more goals in six of their last seven games in the Premier League.
However, at the other end of the pitch, Howe’s side have kept just one clean sheet in their last 13 outings in the English top-flight.
The Cherries ended a six-game winless run on their travels in their last away game with a stunning 3-0 win at reigning Premier League champions Chelsea.
The visitors have a good recent record against the Terriers, winning three of the last four meetings in all competitions.
Forebet predicts that Bournemouth will continue their recent good form in a high scoring encounter.
