Bayern Munich to continue relentless march to the German title

After a poor start to their Bundesliga campaign, Bayern Munich have come storming back into form in recent months. The Bavarians are currently top of the German top-flight table and host one of this seasons surprise packages Schalke at the Allianz Arena on Saturday evening.

Veteran boss Jupp Heynckes has once again done his managerial magic at Bayern. His side have now recorded eight straight wins in the Bundesliga, while also scoring two or more goals in their last four outings in the German top-flight.

In their last league match, the home side recorded a comfortable 2-0 win at Mainz to move a massive 18 points clear at the top of the table. Their lead now looks insurmountable and the rest of the teams below look to be fighting for the other three Champions League spots in the Bundesliga.

Schalke are one of those teams. The men from Gelsenkirchen are enjoying a fine Bundesliga campaign so far. However, the prospects of an away win in this clash seem slim, as Bayern have won their last seven home games in the Bundesliga.

Die Bayern are also unbeaten in 32 games at the Allianz Arena in the league, so that gives you an idea of the task ahead for the visitors.

Schalke are in the best shape they have been in years. The visitors are fifth-place in the league table, just one point behind second-place Bayer Leverkusen, with the fight for a top-four spot very tight in the German top-flight.

Domenico Tedesco’s team have a mixed recent away record in the German top-flight, as they have won one, lost one and drawn three of their last five games on their travels in the Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich are in formidable form at the moment. Unsurprisingly, Forebet predicts that the Bavarian giants will record a victory in a high scoring encounter.
