On Wednesday night, reigning Premier League champions Chelsea host Championship Norwich at Stamford Bridge in an FA Cup third-round replay. The first game at Carrow Road produced a rather lacklustre encounter and finished goalless.

Chelsea’s form has dipped of late and the Blues have now drawn their last four games in all competitions. In fact, their last three games, including the last encounter between these two sides, have finished goalless.

Blues boss Antonio Conte is likely to field a relatively strong team heading into this clash, as the team from south west London look to progress to the fourth round of the competition.

The home side are unbeaten in 13 home games in all competitions. Conte’s side have also kept clean sheets in five of their last six games at Stamford Bridge, including in their last four games on home soil.

Their recent home games have been low scoring, with five of their last seven home games in all competitions producing under 2.5 goals.

Norwich are midtable in the Championship, but head into this encounter on the back of an unbeaten run of five games in all competitions. Daniel Farke’s team recorded a very respectable 1-0 win at Bristol City last time out, so should be full of confidence heading to the capital.

The key to the Canaries recent unbeaten run has been an improvement in their defensive displays, as they have kept clean sheets in four of their last five games, conceding just once in the process.

The visitor’s defensive record has heavily contributed to there being under 2.5 goals scored in four of their last five games in all competitions. The Canaries are now unbeaten in their last three away games, having kept clean sheets in all three games.

Chelsea have struggled for goals of late. However, Forebet predicts that the Blues will record a narrow victory over the now defensive resilient Canaries.
