Liverpool to hold league leaders Manchester City

In one of the highlights of the Premier League weekend, Liverpool host Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Liverpool are enjoying a good run of form in the Premier League of late, having won their last three games in the top-flight. The Reds also recorded a 2-1 derby victory over Everton in the FA Cup third round last time out.

The win over the Toffees means that Jurgen Klopp’s side are now undefeated in 13 games in all competitions, a record that is under major threat with the Citizens in town.

The Merseysiders have been one of the most entertaining teams to watch in the English top-flight this season, with their last five league games producing over 2.5 goals.

A big factor in those high scoring games has been the home side’s firepower, as the Reds have scored at least two goals in their last five outings in the Premier League.

Klopp’s team are also unbeaten at Anfield in their last 13 competitive outings, so could test City’s good run of form this season.

Pep Guardiola’s City have failed to win just two of their 22 Premier League games so far and are runaway league leaders, 15 points clear of second-place rivals Manchester United.

Like the home side, the Citizens have been prolific in front of goal in the league, netting two or more goals in 13 of their last 15 games.

A major part of City’s good season has been their away record, as the Citizens are unbeaten in 14 games on the road, recording 12 wins in the process. An 11 game winning run on their travels ended in their last away game in the league, a 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace.

This promises to be a highly entertaining encounter between two of the most exciting teams in the top-flight. Forebet predicts that it will be a tight contest, ending in a draw.
