On Saturday evening, Tottenham host Everton at Wembley in the Premier League, as the home side attempts to make up ground on the top-four.

Spurs will kick-off this game in fifth place in the Premier League, just three points behind four-place Liverpool. However, the Merseysiders have a superior goal difference of four, so the home side would have to record a heavy victory to move above Jurgen Klopp’s team in the table.

Tottenham are four games unbeaten in the Premier League. A 1-1 home draw against West Ham in their last league game ended a three-game winning run in the top-flight for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

The home side have a highly respectable home record at Wembley and White Hart Lane before that in the top-flight, suffering just one defeat in their last 30 league games on home soil.

However, their recent form has seen Pochettino’s side pick up three wins and two draws from their last five league outings at Wembley.

Spurs recent home games have produced a decent amount of goals, with both teams scoring in four of their last five home games in the league.

Everton heads into this game on the back of a demoralising 2-1 defeat at neighbours Liverpool in the FA Cup third round last Friday. The defeat means that the Toffees have now failed to win in their last five games in all competitions while suffering three successive defeats.

Scoring goals has been a problem for the Merseysiders of late, as Sam Allardyce’s team have now scored just one goal in their last four top-flight outings. The recent arrival of Turkey international Cenk Tosun should increase their attacking threat, though.

To make matters worse, the Toffees have won just one of their last 19 away games in the Premier League.

Forebet predicts that Tottenham will record a narrow victory and add to the visitor's woes on their travels.
