Crystal Palace have moved away from the Premier League’s relegation zone in recent weeks courtesy of an eight-game unbeaten run in the top-flight.
The Eagles recent resurgence faces a test on Thursday night, as Roy Hodgson’s side host Arsenal at Selhurst Park.
The home side may be on an eight-game unbeaten run, but five of those games have finished in draws. The draws have rather halted the Eagles rise up the table, as they are still 16th in the table, just a point above the relegation zone.
A 1-1 draw at bottom of the table Swansea City last time out was a disappointing result for Roy Hodgson’s team.
The Eagles recent home record in the Premier League is strong, as they are unbeaten in six games in the top-flight, scoring two or more goals in all six outings. However, they have also failed to keep a clean sheet in their previous nine home games in the league.
Arsenal heads into this game having fallen to sixth-place in the Premier League table. The Gunners recent form in the top-flight has been inconsistent, as Arsene Wenger’s side have won just one of their last five league games.
However, three of their last five games have finished all square in the Premier League. Last time out the team from north London drew 3-3 with Liverpool in an entertaining clash at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners recent away recent record in the top-flight is also a mixed one, as they have won two, drawn two and lost one of their five games on their travels. Their last three away games have produced under 2.5 goals, with the Gunners keeping clean sheets in two of those three outings.
Forebet predicts that Arsenal will end Palace’s recent resurgence and record a victory at Selhurst Park to enhance their chances of a Champions League spot for next season.
