Feyenoord too good for Roda

On Sunday afternoon, Feyenoord host Roda JC at the Stadion Feyenoord, as the home side look to continue a good recent run in the Eredivisie.
After a dip in form earlier in their Eredivisie campaign, Feyenoord look to be in decent form once again. Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side are currently fifth in the Dutch top-flight but are six points behind AZ, who occupy third place and the league’s Europa League spot.
The Rotterdam outfit does have games in-hand on the teams above them, though. Three wins in their last four Eredivisie outings illustrate that the home side’s form is improving.
Last time out in the Eredivisie, they won the Rotterdam derby hammering city rivals Sparta Rotterdam 7-0 on their own patch. Despite that big win, Feyenoord’s recent Eredivisie games have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in four of their last five league games.
Feyenoord have had a real problem winning on home soil in the Eredivisie of late, having won just one of their last six league games at the Stadion Feyenoord.
Roda are bottom of the Eredivisie table after a poor run of form in the Dutch top-flight. However, depending on other results, the visitors could move up to 16th in the table with a victory in Rotterdam.
The visitor’s Eredivisie form does not suggest that they are likely to pick up an away victory, though, as they have won just once in their last nine Eredivisie outings, suffering six defeats in the process. Last time out, Robert Molenaar’s side suffered a 1-0 home defeat against VVV.
Roda’s recent away form in the Eredivisie has also been woeful, as they have won just one of their last 21 games on their travels in the Dutch top-flight.
Forebet predicts that Roda will not improve that record on their travels in this one and that Feyenoord will record a comfortable win over the strugglers.
