Southampton and Leicester go head-to-head at St Marys Stadium on Wednesday night in the Premier League.

The home side have produced inconsistent performances this season and currently sit 11th in the Premier League table. A home win would move the Saints onto level points with the Foxes and could also move them back into the top-half of the table, depending on other results.

However, a home win is anything but a foregone conclusion, as the south coast side have won just one of their last seven Premier League games. Last time out Mauricio Pellegrino’s side drew 1-1 with Arsenal at St Marys after a late Gunners equaliser.

The Saints also have a mixed recent record at St Marys in the Premier League, having claimed just two wins from their last seven league games on home soil.

The south coast club have also kept just one clean sheet in their last eight home games in the Premier League.

Leicester have found form in recent weeks in the Premier League. The Foxes are now four games unbeaten in the top-flight, having recorded three straight wins in the top-flight. Last time out, the Foxes recorded a late 3-2 win at Newcastle in a pulsating encounter.

Leicester have a decent recent away record in the Premier League, as the Foxes are now six games unbeaten in the top-flight on their travels. However, four of those six undefeated games have ended in draws.

The Foxes have struggled for goals against Southampton at St Marys in recent meetings, as the visitors have failed to score in seven of their last nine visits to the south coast club. The Saints have also managed to score two or more goals against the visitors in their last three visits to St Marys in all competitions.

Forebet predicts that this clash will be tight and will end in a high scoring draw.
