On Saturday, Arsenal and Tottenham go head-to-head in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium in the north London derby.

Arsenal do not have a great recent record against their local rivals, having won once in their last seven competitive meetings with Tottenham. However, the stats are quite misleading, as four of the last seven competitive games between the two teams have finished in draws.

In fact, the last three Premier League meetings at the Emirates have all ended in the same scoreline, 1-1. The games are usually close between these two teams, as the margin of victory for either side in the last ten games has been two or fewer goals.

One stat that favours Arsenal is their stellar recent form on home soil in the top-flight. The Gunners have now won ten consecutive home games in the Premier League, an eleventh straight win could prove vital in the race for the Champions League spots.

Tottenham are third in the top-flight table, trailing table-toppers Manchester City by eight points. Mauricio Pochettino’s team recorded a very narrow 1-0 win over rock-bottom Crystal Palace prior to the international break.

Their recent form in the top-flight has been good, as they have now won five of their last six matches in the Premier League. Pochettino’s team have also won six of their last seven league games in the league on their travels.

Spurs were also prolific in front of goal in that winning run, scoring at least twice in six of their seven games. However, they lost their last away game in the top-flight at Manchester United.

They have also recorded wins at Arsenal just twice in their 25 visits to the Gunners in the Premier League era.

Arsenal may not have a good recent record against Spurs, but Forebet predicts that Arsene Wenger’s side will come out on top in this clash.
