Valencia have been one of the surprise-packages of this season's La Liga campaign so far. Under Marcelino, Los Ches are currently second in the table.

A victory over Leganes on Saturday at the Mestalla would leave the home side just a point behind leaders Barcelona, even if it may only be temporary with the Catalan giants playing later in the day.

Valencia’s form has picked up of late, as Marcelino’s team have now won their last six games in La Liga while scoring two or more goals in all six victories.

Last time out in La Liga, Los Ches recorded a 2-1 win at Alaves. One of the home sides outstanding performers from this season Italian forward Simone Zaza scored in that win.

The former West Ham loanee has now scored nine times in ten appearances in the Spanish top-flight this season.

Valencia have won their last four games against Leganes in all competitions, including defeating the minnows twice in the league and twice in the Copa del Rey.

Leganes are enjoying a solid season in La Liga so far and currently sit seventh in the table. If other results go their way, and the visitors win at the Mestalla, they could move into the Champions League spots.

A 2-1 defeat at Sevilla last time out ended a five-game unbeaten run in the league for Asier Garitano’s side. After struggling for away results at the end of last season, Leganes away record in La Liga this season is a mixed one.

The visitors have won three and lost two of their away games in La Liga so far this season. Their away games in La Liga have been tight and low scoring of late, with under 2.5 goals scored in six of their last seven away games.

Valencia look full of confidence at the moment and Forebet predicts their good run of form will continue in this clash.
