In the Premier League’s early kick-off on Sunday, Brighton host Everton at the AMEX Stadium, with the big-spending visitors in desperate need of a victory to kick-start their top-flight campaign.
Premier League new boys Brighton have made a decent start to life in the English top-flight. In fact, a win in this clash could move Chris Hughton’s side into the top half of the table if other results go their way.
The Seagulls suffered a 2-0 defeat against Arsenal prior to the international break, but are strong on home soil. The men from the south coast have won their last three home games at the AMEX Stadium in all competitions, including their last two top-flight games.
Their only home defeat of the season in the Premier League was against league leaders Manchester City, so the visitors face a difficult task ahead of them.
The visitors have endured a nightmare start to their Premier League after investing big money in the summer. The Merseysiders have won just two of their seven top-flight games this season. To make matters worse they have lost four of their last five games in the top-flight.
Prior to the international break, Ronald Koeman’s side suffered a disappointing 1-0 home defeat against Burnley. The pressure is on Koeman to turn things around, as there is already speculation about his future at the club.
One of visitor’s main recent problems has been their terrible away recent record. The Toffees have now failed to win any of their last 11 games on their travels in the top-flight. They have now also suffered four defeats from their last five away games in the Premier League.
The visitors badly need a victory, but unfortunately for the Merseysiders Forebet predict that the Seagulls will record a win and add to their troubles.
