On Saturday afternoon, Sevilla host Malaga at the Sanchez Pizjuan in La Liga, as the home side look to keep pace with league leaders Barcelona at the top of the table.

Sevilla have been enjoying a good campaign so far this season and currently sit third in La Liga. Last time out, the Andalusians recorded a 3-0 victory over Maribor in the Champions League. However, last time out in La Liga, Eduardo Berizzo’s side suffered a 2-0 defeat against Atletico Madrid.

The defeat ended a six-game unbeaten run in La Liga for Sevilla, which included five wins and a draw. Their recent La Liga games have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in five of their last six games.

Sevilla have a formidable home record in La Liga, as they are now 16 games unbeaten on home soil in the Spanish top-flight. The home side have won three of their last four home games in La Liga, while also keeping clean sheets in all three victories.

Malaga have made a nightmare start to their La Liga campaign, losing five of their six league games so far this season. However, last time out the visitors ended a six-game losing streak in the Spanish top-flight by drawing 3-3 with Athletic Bilbao.

Scoring goals has been a major problem for Michel’s side, as they have now failed to score in five of their last seven La Liga outings.

Malaga have also lost four of their six La Liga games on their travels, including their last three away games in the Spanish top-flight. The visitors have also failed to score in their last three away games in the Spanish top-flight.

Forebet predicts that Sevilla are going to add to their Andalucian neighbour's misery by recording a victory and keeping them in La Liga’s relegation zone.
