On Sunday night, Real Sociedad host Valencia at the Anoeta in La Liga, as both sides look to build on decent starts to their league campaigns.

The home side started their La Liga campaign in good fashion, recording three straight league wins. However, the team from San Sebastian have now suffered consecutive defeats in the Spanish top-flight.

Last time out Eusebio Sacristan’s side suffered a 3-0 defeat at Levante. The defeat followed a similar theme to all of La Real’s league games this season, in that there were over 2.5 goals scored. In fact, there have been over 2.5 goals scored in Real Sociedad’s last seven La Liga games.

A 3-1 defeat against Real Madrid in their last home game ended a six-game unbeaten run on home soil in La Liga for Sociedad.

The home side have a stellar recent record against Valencia, having won eight of the last ten meetings with Los Ches in all competitions, suffering just one defeat in the process.

Valencia have started their La Liga campaign in a decent fashion and are yet to lose any of their five games in the Spanish top-flight this season, recording two wins and three draws. Los Ches hammered Malaga 5-0 at the Mestalla in their last La Liga outing.

The visitors are unbeaten in three games on their travels in the Spanish top-flight, recording one win and two draws in La Liga. However, Los Ches have won just two of their last 11 games on their travels in La Liga stretching back to last season.

The visitors have also conceded two or more goals in six of their last nine away games in La Liga, including three of their last five away games.

This game is a difficult one to judge. Real Sociedad are strong at the Anoeta, while Valencia are in solid form. Forebet predicts that this clash will finish all square.
