Arsenal head to the English Potteries on Saturday to face Stoke City in the Premier League, as Arsene Wenger’s side attempts to keep up their hundred per cent record in the English top-flight.

The home side endured an underwhelming summer in the transfer market. The Potters performance at Everton on the opening weekend of the campaign was flat, as they suffered a 1-0 defeat on Merseyside.

The defeat last time out means that the Potters have now won just two of their last 12 games in the Premier League. Mark Hughes side’s recent home record in the Premier League is also poor, as the home side have won just one of the last five home games, suffering three defeats in the process.

The Potters were once a bogey team for Arsenal, especially at the Britannia Stadium. However, the Gunners have now won four of their last five meetings with the Potters and picked up a draw and a win on their last two visits to the Potteries.

Arsenal started their Premier League campaign with a 4-3 win over Leicester, in a highly entertaining encounter. The Gunners looked vulnerable in defence, but impressive going forward considering they were without Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

The win was just a continuance of last season’s good form and Wenger’s side have now won their last six Premier League games, scoring two or more in each of the wins.

The side from north London have also now won three of their last four away games in the Premier League, scoring two or more goals in all three of their victories. Prior to that good form, the Gunners away form in the English top-flight was poor.

Stoke do not look in the best of shape at the moment and Arsenal’s confidence seems to be high. With that in mind, Forebet predicts that Arsenal will leave the north west with maximum points.
