Flamengo to get back to winning ways against Coritiba

On Saturday night, Flamengo have a chance to get back to winning ways, as they host Coritiba at the Estadio Luso-Brasileiro.
The home side’s form has dipped of late, as they have failed to win in their last three games in Serie A, drawing their last two games after suffering a 1-0 home defeat against rivals Gremio. Their recent games in Serie A have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in three of their last four league outings.
Last time out in the Brazilian top-flight, Ze Ricardo’s team drew 2-2 against another top-six rival Palmeiras.
Flamengo have a strong home record in Serie A, having suffered just one home defeat in their last 20 outings. They have also been prolific in front of goal in their Serie A home games, having scored two or more goals in four of their last five outings.
They have failed to win their last two league games on home soil. However, the home side will be confident of getting back to winning ways in this clash.
Coritiba’s form has been poor of late, as they have suffered three defeats in their last four Serie A outings and conceded at least two goals in all three defeats. The poor run of results has left the visitors 13th in the Brazilian top-flight table.
However, a victory could move Pachequinho’s team up to eighth-place in the table. An away victory looks unlikely, though, as the visitors have won just two of their last 13 games on their travels in the Brazilian top-flight.
The visitors have also lost three of their last four away games in the league and failed to score in any of the defeats, which does not bode well for an away win.
Flamengo’s recent form may have dipped, but they have the quality to record a victory in this one and that is exactly what Forebet predicts will happen in this clash.
