Sport Recife to move into Serie A top-six
Sport Recife have the chance to move up to fifth-place in the Serie A table, as they host struggling Atletico GO at Estadio Adelmar da Costa Carvalhoon on Friday.
Sport had been on a four-game winning run in Serie A prior to a 2-1 defeat at Botafogo last time out. Home boss Vanderlei Luxemburgo stated after the game that it was just a slight blip in their form.

Atletico GO have endured a poor campaign, having won just two of their 14 Serie A games this season. Even a victory in this clash would not be enough to move Doriva’s team off the bottom of the table.
Unsurprisingly considering their league position, the visitors have not won any of their last seven games in the Brazilian top-flight, suffering five defeats in the process. Atletico have also conceded at least two goals in their last three league games.
A part of the visitor’s poor position in the league table has been their poor away form, as they have lost five of their last six games this season. They have also conceded at least two goals in four of their six away games.
