Botafogo to move into Copa Libertadores spots

Botafogo host Avai at the Estadio Nilton Santos on Tuesday, as the home side aim to move into the top-six of the Brazilian top-flight.
The home side are currently seventh in Serie A, but a draw would be enough to move them up to sixth place in the table and into the qualification for the Copa Libertadores.

Avai have endured a nightmare start to their Serie A campaign, as they have picked up just five points from their first nine league games this season.
The visitors have won just once in the league this season and have suffered four defeats in their last five Serie A games. Their recent games in Serie A have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in nine of their last 11 league outings.
Avai have lost their last five away games in the Brazilian top-flight, having failed to score in four those outings. The visitor’s lack of scoring power has contributed to there being under 2.5 goals scored in four of their last five away games in the league.
