Eagles to see-off the Tigers at Selhurst Park

Eagles to see-off the Tigers at Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace could confirm their place in the Premier League next season by avoiding defeat against relegation-threatened Hull City on Sunday lunchtime.

The home side look to be safe from relegation and avoiding defeat in this clash will secure the Eagles safety for this season. However, Sam Allardyce’s side have suffered three consecutive Premier league defeats without scoring a goal, so the home side are in poor form heading into this clash.

Palace’s home record in the league has not been great of late, as the Eagles have won just three of their last 11 outings on home soil. The Eagles have lost two of their last three meetings with the Tigers, so will need to be wary of complacency.

The Eagles have an injury crisis in defence with Scott Dann, Mamadou Sakho and James Tomkins all expected to miss out through injury.

The arrival of Portuguese boss Marco Silva has at least given Hull hope of survival in the Premier League. However, the Tigers currently occupy the last relegation spot, a point behind 17th place Swansea City.

With rivals Swansea facing bottom of the table Sunderland on Saturday, the Tigers cannot afford to lose this game. If the Swans pick up anything from their trip to the north east and Hull suffer defeat at Selhurst Park the Tigers will be relegated.

One of Hull’s main problems this season has been winning away from home. The Tigers only away win in the Premier League came on the opening weekend at Swansea. In fact, the visitors have lost five of their last six away games in the Premier League. Something will have to change if the Tigers are to record a vital victory in this clash, though.

However, Forebet predicts that the Eagles will record a victory that could be fatal to the visitor’s hopes of survival this season.
