Tigers to roar in big EPL survival shootout

Tigers to roar in big EPL survival shootout

Hull City have dragged themselves back from the abyss of relegation and are now just one point away from the safety of 17th place in the Premier League table.

On Wednesday night the Tigers have the perfect opportunity to move out of the Premier League’s bottom three as they host relegation rivals Middlesbrough at the KCOM Stadium.

Marco Silva has turned the team around since his arrival as Tigers boss and they now have a very real chance of staying in the top-flight this season. Their recent revival has been based on their strong home form in the Premier League.

The Tigers are unbeaten on home soil in six games in the Premier League and have also lost just once in their last nine league outings on home soil. A recent record of four wins and a draw from their last five games is certainly an impressive one.

On home soil, the Tigers really are a force and will be confident of recording another victory against one of their closest rivals in the table. There is one note of caution heading into this game, though, as Boro have won the last two meetings with the Tigers.

Middlesbrough find themselves one place and four points behind the Tigers. They simply cannot afford a defeat in this clash. However, Boro have failed to win any of their last 12 games in the Premier League. In fact, they have won just one of their last 15 league games.

The north east side’s away record is also poor, as they have failed to win any of their last 14 away games in the English top-flight. To make matters worse Boro have failed to score in seven of their last eight away games in the league.

Forebet predicts that Hull will record another home win and move further clear of their struggling north east rivals in the Premier League table.
