Belgium to beat the Greeks in Brussels

On Saturday night the top two teams in Group H of World Cup qualifying go head-to-head in Brussels, as Belgium hosts Greece.
The home side have made the perfect start to their qualifying campaign by winning their opening four games and currently sit top of the group table. Not only have Belgium won their first four games, they have won them in style, winning by three goals or more in each of the victories.
The Red Devils are unbeaten in their last 14 World Cup qualifiers, recording 12 wins in the process and winning 11 of their last 12 qualifiers. Last time out in qualifying Roberto Martinez’s team hammered Estonia 8-1.
Belgium also have a strong home record in World Cup qualifiers, having gone eight games unbeaten on home soil and winning five of their last six qualifiers on home soil.
The home side started the group off as favourites and another win would just cement their position at the top of their group.
Greece have flattered to deceive in recent years on the international stage. However, the visitors have made a promising start to their qualification campaign, picking up three wins and a draw from their four games so far.
In fact, Greece has a very strong record in World Cup qualifying, having suffered just one defeat in their last 21 qualifiers. The visitors also have a respectable away record in qualifying, suffering just one defeat in ten away games in World Cup qualifying.
The international head-to-head record of these two teams is very tight, as in their last seven meetings Greece has recorded three wins, Belgium have won twice and two games have finished in draws.
Despite Greece’s recent good record in qualifying, Belgium has to be looked at as the likely winners in this clash, just as Forebet predicts.
