Having already won Group C, England will aim to finish their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign on a high note when they take on North Macedonia in Skopje on Monday.
The Three Lions find themselves six points clear of Italy and Ukraine, while North Macedonia find themselves six points shy of the top two.
In the reverse fixture back in June, Gareth Southgate’s side notched a dominant 7-0 victory at Wembley. Can the North Macedonians exact revenge this time around?
The hosts head into their final qualifier on the back of a 5-2 thrashing at the hands of Italy, as they registered just 36% possession and two attempts on target on Friday.
As a result, North Macedonia have only managed to win two of their previous seven matches across all competitions, recording one draw and four defeats in the process.
It is also worth noting that North Macedonia have conceded a whopping 19 goals in seven Euro 2024 qualifiers, averaging 2.7 goals against per game.
Given that North Macedonia’s only victories have come against Group C underdogs Malta, they will struggle to get anything from Monday’s clash.
On the flip side, England have enjoyed an unbeaten campaign up to now, picking up six wins and one draw to punch their ticket to next summer’s tournament.
Not only have the Three Lions scored 21 goals along the way – averaging three goals per game – but they have also conceded on just three occasions.
Gareth Southgate’s men claimed a 2-0 victory over Malta on Friday, although the team received criticism for a below-par performance against the minnows at Wembley.
Still, England have avoided defeat in each of their nine matches since the World Cup, notching eight victories, one draw and five clean sheets for good measure.
Head-to-head: Thanks to June’s 7-0 thrashing, England have avoided defeat in each of their five previous meetings with North Macedonia.
The Three Lions have registered three wins and two draws in this fixture over the years, scoring a total of 12 goals while conceding just three.
Team news: North Macedonia’s squad contains notable names like Napoli’s Elif Elmas, Burnley’s Darko Churlinov and former Leeds United man Ezgjan Alioski.
As for England, Jarrod Bowen is the latest player to leave the squad, joining James Maddison, Lewis Dunk, Callum Wilson, Jude Bellingham, Levi Colwill and Kieran Trippier.

If the previous meeting between these two nations is anything to go by, England should cruise to a comfortable victory in Skopje.
Forebet predicts that England will score over 3.5 goals on their way to defeating North Macedonia, who are also expected to find the back of the net.
