Paris Saint-Germain will wrap up the Ligue 1 title if they avoid defeat against Strasbourg at the Stade de la Meinau on Saturday night.

With two matches remaining, PSG find themselves six points clear of second-placed Lens, who also possess an inferior goal difference.

At the opposite end of the table, Strasbourg are six points clear of the bottom four, meaning they could suffer relegation if they lose their remaining two games and results elsewhere go against them.

That said, Strasbourg have taken seven points from their last three matches to give themselves an excellent chance of beating the drop.

Following 2-0 victories over Nantes and Nice, Strasbourg played out a 1-1 draw with Troyes, despite racking 16 shots while enjoying the lion’s share of possession.

It is also worth noting that Strasbourg have lost just one of their previous six matches, picking up four victories along the way.

Having notched five wins across their last seven home league games – scoring over 1.5 goals in each of those victories – Strasbourg will be confident of avoiding relegation.

As for PSG, they claimed a 2-1 victory over Auxerre last time out, courtesy of a first-half brace from star forward Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe has now scored 40 goals in 41 games this season, including 28 in 32 league outings as he hunts a fifth successive Ligue 1 Golden Boot.

There is no denying that PSG have not been firing on all cylinders this season, as they have lost six of their 36 league encounters while struggling for consistency at times.

Still, the Parisians remain the dominant force in French football and look destined to clinch a ninth title in 11 seasons before too long.

Head-to-head: Strasbourg have failed to win any of their last nine league meetings with PSG, suffering six defeats in the process.

On top of that, PSG have won five of the previous six Ligue 1 meetings between the teams, scoring 18 goals along the way.

Team news: Strasbourg are currently without Eduard Sobol, Thomas Delaine and Eiji Kawashima due to injury, while Alexander Djiku is suspended.

Paris Saint-Germain, on the other hand, will be without the injured duo of Nuno Mendes and Nordi Mukiele this weekend as both players continue to recover from hamstring issues.

Regardless of Strasbourg’s recent upturn in form, PSG should have more than enough quality to claim all three points on Saturday.

Forebet predicts that PSG will overcome Strasbourg at the Stade de la Meinau, with the visitors claiming a record 11th top-flight title in the process.
