Juventus will be looking to end a three-game winless run in Serie A when they face Salernitana at the Arechi Stadium on Tuesday night.
Having been deducted 15 points for falsified capital gains, Juventus have dropped to 13th place in the Serie A table – 10 outside the relegation zone and 15 shy of the top four.
As for Salernitana, they find themselves in 16th place – two points behind Juventus – after ending a seven-game winless streak last time out.
Salernitana endured a run of two draws and five losses between November and January, with a dismal 8-2 defeat to Atalanta coming in that time.
However, they managed to stop the rot last time out – sealing a 2-1 victory at Lecce to keep them eight points clear of the relegation zone.
When you look at the bigger picture, however, Salernitana have only managed to win five of their 20 Serie A games this season, recording six draws and nine losses along the way.
To make matters worse, Salernitana have the poorest defensive record in the division, having conceded a whopping 38 goals this term (1.9 goals against per game).
On the flip side, Juventus have only lost four of their 20 league outings this season – picking up 11 wins and five draws in the process.
But following a 15-point deduction due to financial irregularities, Max Allegri’s side find themselves in the bottom half of the table.
It is worth noting that Juventus have failed to win any of their last three Serie A games, suffering a 5-1 thrashing against Napoli before drawing 3-3 with Atalanta and losing 2-0 to Monza.
But let’s not forget that Juve claimed eight straight Serie A wins between October and January, keeping eight clean sheets in the process.
Head-to-head: Salernitana have yet to beat Juventus since gaining promotion in 2021, registering one draw and two losses against the Old Lady.
Juve claimed back-to-back 2-0 wins against Salernitana last term, before the teams played out a 2-2 draw earlier this season.
Team news: Salernitana look set to be without Norbert Gyomber and Federico Fazio due to injury on Tuesday, while Giulio Maggiore and Pasquale Mazzocchi are doubts.
Meanwhile, Juventus will be without the injured trio of Paul Pogba, Arkadiusz Milik and Kaio Jorge for the upcoming outing.
Although Juve have slipped down the table after their 15-point deduction, they still have more than enough firepower to overcome Salernitana.
Forebet predicts that both teams will score on Tuesday. However, Juventus shouldn’t struggle to outscore Salernitana.
