Brighton Likely to Win Again and Send Bournemouth Deeper Into the Bottom 3
2450

It’s a derby on the south coast of England this weekend with Brighton & Hove Albion set to welcome Bournemouth to the AMEX on Saturday with the two clubs in completely different areas of the table as the Seagulls keep one eye on the Europa League.

After the departure of Graham Potter to Chelsea, Brighton have somehow only got better and better under Roberto De Zerbi, as the Italian has now rocketed his side into sixth in the table and way above Potter's Chelsea who sit down in 10th.

After failing to win his first few games in charge, De Zerbi is now on a healthy winning run that saw his side score five past Liverpool in two games.

Solly March stole the show against the Reds two weeks ago in a Premier League win, as Danny Welbeck also secured a sensational goal in a 3-0 home win over Liverpool.

A draw against Leicester City would come next, but Brighton went on to beat Liverpool 2-1 in the FA Cup fourth round just last weekend, as a fantastic goal from Kaoru Mitoma in the 92nd minute secured safe passage into the next round and a win over the FA Cup holders.

The Seagulls are above Fulham on goals difference in seventh and have two games in hand over the club.

In fact, with two games in hand over Tottenham Hotspur in fifth, Brighton are no doubt eyeing up a spot in the Europa League as their target now, with the gap just five points on Antonio Conte's men.

The Seagulls could be in fifth if they win those two games in hand, as they have now lost six, won nine, drawn four and let in just 27 goals and scored 37 of their own.

As for Bournemouth, they have resumed action after the World Cup in dreadful form. The club have been out of the FA Cup for a while now, having lost 4-2 at home to the high-flying Championship side, Burnley.

A 2-0 loss to Brentford came soon after, as Gary O'Neil's men drew 1-1 with Nottingham Forest as well thanks to a goal from Jaidon Anthony.

Alarmingly, it now leaves the Cherries in the bottom three for the first time in weeks, as they have conceded the most goals in the league with 42 on their record and just 19 at the other end.

Forebet predicts a Brighton win and over 2.5 goals.
