Hull could be in trouble on Boxing Day

Hull are bottom of the Premier League table and life could just get harder for the struggling Tigers, as Manchester City head to the KCOM Stadium on Boxing Day.

The home side are just three points away from safety but have the worst goal difference in the top-flight. The Tigers have real problems at both ends of the pitch. Mike Phelan’s side have scored a league-low of just 14 goals while conceding the second highest tally of goals this season as well.

To make matters worse the Tigers have won just one of their last 15 games in the Premier League. Phelan’s side have won just one of their last eight games at the KCOM in all competitions, with the Tigers struggling for any sort of form.  However, their record at the KCOM in all competitions is not that bad with just six defeats in the last 37 outings on home soil.

Not exactly encouraging statistics when Manchester City are heading to town. The Citizens have not been firing on all cylinders without star striker Sergio Aguero in recent weeks. However, coming back from a goal down to defeat top-four rivals Arsenal 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium last time out will have the Citizens in confident mood ahead of this trip.

Pep Guardiola’s side have a decent away record in the Premier League, having won six of their last eight games on their travels in the top-flight. They will be very confident of improving that record on Humberside.

Overall City have a pretty good record in the Premier League, having suffered just three defeats in their last 19 outings in the top-flight.

Forebet predicts that Manchester City will come out on top to worsen Hull’s woes at the bottom of the table and aid the Citizens chances of winning the title.
