Emery to Lose Two Games in a Row When Villa Travel to Brighton

It’s the third game in charge for Unai Emery at Aston Villa inside a week at his new club as he takes his side to the south coast where an in-form Brighton & Hove Albion awaits them at the AMEX in what is their best run of form so far this campaign.
Following on from six games without a victory to start off his career at Brighton, Roberto De Zerbi has managed to string together a very positive run of form in the past three weeks that has seen his side rocket up the league.
To kick off this winning run of three games, the Seagulls got one over on their former boss Graham Potter in a 3-1 win over Chelsea at the AMEX, as Leandro Trossard scored another goal that day.
Brighton stayed in the win column after registering a great win against Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend, as they managed to defeat them 3-2 at Molineux which has now put them sixth in the table - this also moves them ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool in the table and only two points behind Manchester United in fifth.
The excellent winning form continued for the Seagulls in midweek as they became just the third club after United in the Premier League and PSV Eindhoven in the Europa League to beat Arsenal in all competitions with a 3-1 victory over the league leaders in the EFL Cup.
Former Arsenal forward, Danny Welbeck, got amongst the goals that day, as Tariq Lamptey also scored his first goal of the season in a comeback win for Brighton.
As for Emery, his first two games as Villa manager have come against United where he has seen his side win at Villa Park and lose on the road at Old Trafford in the EFL Cup.
His first game in charge last Sunday saw his men take a 2-0 lead inside 15 minutes thanks to a Leon Bailey goal and a brilliant free kick from Lucas Digne. Jacob Ramsey capped off a 3-1 win for Villa that day in what was a comfortable victory.
On the other hand, the trip to Old Trafford was different, despite taking the lead twice in the goal through Ollie Watkins and an own goal. United put the pressure on later in the second half and ran out 4-2 winners in the end.
