Bournemouth and Brentford Can’t be Separated in Their First-Ever Premier League Battle
2839

It’s the first-ever Premier League meeting between Bournemouth and Brentford this weekend where the Cherries welcome the Bees to the Vitality Stadium after three weeks with no action in the Premier League.

That three-week break has seen Bournemouth, technically speaking, extend their unbeaten run to three games since the stunning, record-breaking 9-0 loss to Liverpool and the consequent sacking of Scott Parker. What's more, they have managed to rack up five points in this time too and rocket themselves into 12th.

Bournemouth do still have the worst defensive record in the league right now with 19 let in, and with just six goals of their own, the club are having to work with a dismal -13 goals difference already and remain without a manager.

Nevertheless, a 0-0 draw against Wolves and a 1-1 draw with Newcastle United prove they can hold their own and that they are going to put up a solid fight in the relegation battle, if it comes to that.

Bournemouth also defeated Nottingham Forest not too long ago in what was their second win of the season then Philip Billing, Dom Solanke and Jaidon Anthony all scored in a stunning 3-2 comeback win from two goals down. The club's only other win this season came in a 2-0 victory against Aston Villa.

As for Brentford, it’s been another magical start to life in the Premier League for them, just as they began the campaign so well last time out.

Brentford are coming into this one off the back of a 3-0 loss to Arsenal, but with them hammering Leeds United 5-2 just prior to that.

Thomas Frank's men are sitting in decent form still. Ivan Toney scored a memorable hat-trick that day, netting from long range, the penalty spot and a free kick.

This was, however, the Bees only other win in the Premier League this season after defeating Manchester United 4-0 back in August. The London side now sit three points behind United and are level on points with Liverpool right now.

Brentford have also managed to rack up a 1-1 draw against Everton and Crystal Palace within the past four games, as they registered their only other defeat of the league campaign to Fulham four games back.

Forebet predicts this game to be a close one with form still quite topsy-turvy for both sides right now. Forebet also expects the game to see under 2.5 goals.
