Dinamo Minsk expected to gain 1st leg lead over Decic Tuzi

Dinamo Minsk enjoyed a successful campaign in last season’s Belarusian Premier League as the hosts finished in 3rd spot which saw them qualify for the early qualification rounds of the Europa Conference League where they’ll play host to Montenegro outfit, Decic Tuzi, at their Stadyen Traktar on Thursday evening.
Dinamo Minsk finally finished just three points shy of runners-up, BATE, which puts their efforts into perspective and the hosts also have the additional boost of having competitive match fitness under their belts as well, with this season’s Belarus top flight season in full swing.
The hosts have picked up where they left off in this season’s campaign to date as they sit in 3rd spot and just three points adrift of the league leaders, BATE.
But they have been involved in four draws within their six home games played to date.
The bigger picture shows Dinamo Minsk have suffered just the one defeat out of their last 11 games on home soil at their Stadyen Traktar.
This gives the hosts a decent chance of securing a 1st leg lead here.
Onto Decic Tuzi, and the Montenegro visitors finished in 3rd place in last season’s Montenegro First League but found themselves some 19 points behind the comprehensive title winners, Sutjeska.
So they had to settle for a place in these Europa Conference League qualifiers.
Losing their last two games of last season on the trot certainly didn’t do Decic Tuzi any favours following losses to Mornar and Podgorica respectively, along with losing 1-0 to Buducnost in the Montenegro Cup Final, and this disappointing theme has continued into the pre-season stage of this season as well.
Decic Tuzi have lost three of their subsequent four pre-season friendlies with losses incurred against Kolubara, Novi Pazar and Javor Ivanjica, while managing just one win which came in the form of a 3-0 win away from home at Mladost Lucani.
Decic Tuzi did sample some previous experience of Europa Conference League football last season but it was a brief appearance as the Montenegro side crashed out in the 1st qualifying round, losing 3-1 on aggregate to Kosovo club, Drita.
With home advantage under their belts and having made themselves tough to beat at their Stadyen Traktar, Dinamo Minsk look to hold the edge in this 1st leg.
