Dresden and Kaiserslautern to Draw Once More in the Fight for 2. Bundesliga Status
4676

16th-placed 2. Bundesliga side, Dynamo Dresden, will take on 3. Liga’s FC Kaiserslautern in the relegation battle for a spot in Germany’s second tier just four days on from their first leg goalless draw at the Fritz-Walter-Stadium.

Nothing could separate either side back in Rhineland-Palatinate, in what was a very lacklustre encounter. Kaiserslautern would have just two shots on target throughout the game, but with Dynamo registering just one shot on target away from home, they've barely been able to put themselves in a decent position ahead of this one.

For Kaiserslautern, however, this 0-0 draw at home has now meant they have failed to win all four of their past games, but on the other hand, the tie did end what was previously a three-game losing run.

Wiesbaden, Borussia Dortmund II, and Viktoria Koln all beat the promotion-chasing club, as they conceded seven goals and scored just two towards the end of the league season.

This run has seen the Red Devils end the season with a solid 18 wins from 36 games, and with just their three losses on the bounce at the end of the season, it means they've been defeated just nine times in 3. Liga this campaign.

What's more for Dirk Schuster's men is their stunning defensive record. His side have let in just 27 goals throughout the 36 games in 3. Liga, which is quite easily the best in the division. At the same time, it is the best defensive record in all three of Germany's top leagues

As for Dynamo, they have had 16th secured in the 2. Bundesliga for a while, and with their solid defensive record of 46 goals conceded, they have let in only two more than the champions Schalke.

On the other hand, Dynamo have scored only 33 times this season, and have seriously struggled in goals, which has also resulted in just seven victories and 16 defeats this campaign.

Dynamo even ended the season with a defeat at home to 17th-placed and the already-relegated, Erzgebirge Aue, and similarly to Kaiserslautern, Guerino Capretti's side remained in pretty poor form towards the end of the season.

Dynamo last won as they defeated Slovan Liberec back in March, with a 2-1 win on home soil.

Absolutely nothing could separate them in the first leg of this play-off of this relegation play-off battle, and the same is expected here. Forebet predicts another draw and for the game to see under 2.5 goals, as extra time and penalties could await us.
