Lazio will be aiming to secure fifth spot in Serie A ahead of rivals Roma with a victory over a Hellas Verona side merely aiming to stay within the top 10 on the final day of the campaign.
Maurizio Sarri's men have really turned up the heat when they needed it most in the past month and a bit, as they have managed to move ahead of Roma in the table and into fifth with just one defeat since that crippling loss to their Rome rivals.
Since losing 3-0 to Jose Mourinho's men, Lazio have gone on to beat Sassuolo, Genoa, Spezia and Sampdoria, where they have scored 12 times and conceded five.
A loss to league leaders AC Milan did come within this time on home soil, but in truth, given their form and their strive to win Serie A, this was merely a bump in the road.
Sarri's side have also managed to draw with Torino in this time 1-1 at the Stadio Olimpico, before they travelled to Turin to draw with an in-form Juventus side in stunning style.
Juventus led the game 2-0, but an Alex Sandro own goal was met with a 96th-minute equaliser from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as the Rome outfit left with a point.
That point has now kept them three points clear of Roma in sixth, meaning Lazio merely have to match the result of their city rivals to remain in fifth.
At the same time, they can afford to lose, but with their goals difference only +6 better than that of Roma's, should Mourinho's men convincingly beat Torino, they could drop into sixth.
Verona are coming off the back of two defeats on the bounce now, as they were smashed 3-1 by Milan, before they lost to Torino at the Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium.
Igor Tudor's men are still in ninth, however, and will merely need to match Torino and Sassuolo's results, and given that they face off with Roma and Milan, respectively, they could well finish in ninth.
The club have conceded 56 times in the league, however, and with Lazio netting 74 across the 37 games which is only bettered by the top two clubs, they will be out to get win number 19 here.
