A Goalscoring Draw Expected Between Hellas Verona and Torino
3316

Hellas Verona will look to return to winning ways and stay inside the top 10 as they meet with Torino as ninth meets 10th in Serie A at the Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium in what could be a thrilling game.

Verona were looking to spoil the title show when they hosted AC Milan last weekend, and a goal from Davide Faraoni looked like it could well be the difference in the quest for the Scudetto. However, a brace from Sandro Tonali and a goal from Alessandro Florenzi was the difference in the second half as Verona lost again.

It is now 12 defeats in the league for the club, but with them winning 14 and scoring 62 times in the league so far, they're sitting proudly in ninth and have scored more goals than the likes of Juventus and Roma this season.

It also looks as if ninth is nailed on for them here too, with Igor Tudor's men five points clear of 10th-placed Torino and are still trailing eight-placed Atalanta by seven points, making it mathematically impossible for them to improve on eighth.

Verona have registered some very impressive results in the past few weeks as well, despite losing to Milan last time out. They edged past Atalanta as they looked to give themselves a final push towards the top seven, while they also beat Cagliari, Genoa, and Venezia, before taking a point away from Sampdoria too.

A win here for the club is important, as with them travelling to Lazio on the final day of the season who have everything to play for in a fight for Europe, by losing to Torino here and then that game, Tudor’s side could be sucked into 10th.

The Turin outfit are in very topsy-turvy form right now as they have registered impressive draws over Inter Milan, Milan, and Lazio within the past two months, but also only won three games games since the beginning of March, as they beat Salernitana, Spezia and Empoli. Last time out, Torino lost to Napoli 1-0, which has now given them very little hope of achieving a status inside the top 10 for this campaign.

This game also comes not too many weeks after the stunning 4-4 draw against Atalanta away from home, as Sasa Lukic bagged two penalties after Antonio Sanabria scored the opener. Torino do often get themselves in these high-scoring situations, and it could happen again here.

Forebet predicts a draw here and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
