Haaland’s Last Dortmund Game to End With a Win Against Hertha Berlin

Haaland’s Last Dortmund Game to End With a Win Against Hertha Berlin
4718

The Bundesliga will conclude this weekend as Borussia Dortmund welcome Hertha Berlin to the Signal Iduna Park as they play their last game of the season with the Berlin side still having everything to play for.

Berlin are going to be safe from the automatic relegation spots that have seen Greuther Furth and Arminia Bielefeld relegated for a few weeks. Stuttgart are only three points behind Hertha in the play-offs spot, however, and with the away side here having a seriously inferior goals difference, things could get troublesome.

Ultimately, if Hertha lose here and Stuttgart beat Koln, Felix Magath's side will be fighting for their life in the relegation play-offs for next season, and this is likely to be against either Hamburger or Darmstadt at this stage.

Magath has been in the job for only two months ahead of the final day of the season, and he has so far seen his side score seven and concede nine, while they have won only twice from their six games. This has brought in three losses and one draw.

This run has, however, steadied the ship slightly as the club have been able to move from within the automatic relegation spots to the play-offs. His club did lose to Mainz last weekend, not long after they also got a poor result in the draw with Bielefeld.

On the other hand, after beating Stuttgart 2-0 back in mid-April, Hertha have given themselves a chance here where a point will simply be enough to survive.

As for Dortmund, there’s absolutely nothing to play for here but a bit of pride, as they can't catch champions Bayern Munich who are 10 points clear of them, while Bayer Leverkusen in third are five points behind them.

It will also be the final game of Erling Haaland ahead of his move to Manchester City, and time will tell if he gets to play now. He may get some minutes, but it’s doubtful he will start with there being nothing to play for.

Dortmund have also only won one game in their past four after they beat Furth 3-1, and in reality, remain slightly out of form and could do with a burst back into the win column in convincing style.

It’s set to be a clinical game from Dortmund, and there’s no real reason they should not ease past Hertha here. Forebet predicts them to give Haaland a big send off as they win and see over 2.5 goals.
