Lorient and Angers will face off at the Stade Yves Allainmat on Sunday afternoon in the French Ligue 1 with both teams eager to pick up all three points for differing reasons.
Lorient currently sit in the relegation play-off spot third from bottom in the French top flight following a disastrous sequence of results which has seen the hosts lose seven out of their last eight matches overall.

However, five defeats within this 10-match sequence suggest that Angers could find this upcoming trip to the Stade Yves Allainmat a tricky outing to navigate especially as the visitors have managed to collect just two away wins throughout the whole of this season’s Ligue 1 campaign.
Angers have also been involved in no fewer than six stalemates as well, each of which ended in a score-draw, while goals for both teams have featured in nine of Angers’ 10 away games so far this season.
Angers have kept just one clean sheet in their last 13 outings on the road while Lorient have kept just two in their nine home matches to date so both teams scoring looks likely here.
