Zagreb to Seal the Deal and Push Genk Out of the Europa League in a Must-Win Clash

With West Ham United running away with things in Group H, GNK Dinamo Zagreb and KRC Genk will play out a must-win game as the Hammers meet with Rapid Wien where they are likely to seal top spot in the table.
This does now leave Zagreb in second and Genk in third playing it out for second spot, should West Ham win, and it is fair to say that this is expected to be quite a close game with only two points separating them both, while they are each in similar form.
As of now, the Croatian outfit are sat with six points following two wins and two defeats, as Zagreb managed to beat Rapid Wien last time out with a convincing 3-1 performance, while they fell to defeat to the Austrian side just two weeks prior also. Their other defeat came on home soil to the in-form West Ham, who beat them 2-0.
Genk and Zagreb have also already met in this year’s competition where Zagreb ran out 3-0 winners in a demolition job over in Belgium.
The away side went 1-0 up inside 10 minutes from Luka Ivanusec, before Bruno Petkovic added a penalty goal towards the end of the first half and another midway through the second 45.
Such results have handed Damir Krznar’s men a two-point lead over Genk and with a win or even a draw here and they should find themselves in a very positive spot heading into their final game of Group H.
However, that clash is with table-toppers West Ham, and as a result, they will want to get a win here and seal the deal once and for all.
As for Genk back on the domestic scene, they are experiencing one of their worst seasons in recent times as they sit with only 21 points from 15 games as they have managed to lose six times and win six other games, while also drawing three.
At the same time, it puts the Belgian giants on a +3 goal difference following 28 goals scored and 25 conceded, which all but sums up their topsy-turvy, mid-table form right now and anything but a victory here would spell disaster for the club.
With this in mind and given how Zagreb are still fighting for the title in Croatia again, Forebet predicts a win for the home side here but in a game that will see over 2.5 goals.
In fact, the game earlier on in the campaign between the two also saw 2.5 goals and in reality, nothing has changed on the form front.
