The Netherlands to seal at a play-off spot in Montenegro
Montenegro vs Netherlands - 13/11/2021

We are now at the business end of the European qualifiers for next years World Cup. One country hoping to seal their place at Qatar 2022 is the Netherlands, who travel to Montenegro on Saturday night in Group G of qualifying.
It seems Montenegro will not be at next years big event, as they head into this penultimate game in the group six points behind second-place Norway.
The home team are also four points behind third-place Turkey, so it looks like their qualification chances are now done and dusted.
Montenegro’s recent form in qualifying has been poor, as they have claimed just one win in their last six games in Group G.
Last time out Miodrag Radulovic’s team suffered a 2-0 defeat in Norway. The result realistically ended their hopes of qualification.
A lack of potency in front of goal on home soil has not helped in qualifying, as they have failed to find the net in three of their last four home matches in World Cup qualifiers.
The Netherlands sit top of the group and a draw versus Montenegro would mean at least a play-off spot for the Oranje.
If Norway wins their game, it would mean the race for the only automatic qualification spot would go down to matchday ten when the two will meet in Rotterdam.
Louis van Gaal’s team have been in stellar form of late in Group G, as they have now recorded four consecutive wins in qualifying while finding the net on at least four occasions in three of the four games in the winning run.
Barcelona forward Memphis Depay has been in impressive international form of late, as he has scored seven goals in the Netherlands last four qualifiers.
Forebet predicts that the Netherlands will record a victory in a high-scoring encounter that would move them one step closer to qualifying for next year’s World Cup.
