It’s top against bottom in the Premier League on Saturday as first-place Chelsea welcome last-place Norwich City to Stamford Bridge in the early kick-off.

The Canaries have yet to win a single league game this season and find themselves one point adrift at the foot of the table as a result.

At the opposite end of the standings, Chelsea sit one point clear of second-place Liverpool after winning six of their opening eight matches.

Thomas Tuchel’s men have taken 19 points from a possible 24 this term, registering just one draw and one defeat so far.

Not only are the Blues the joint-second highest scorers in the division, but they also boast the best defensive record – having conceded three goals.

Chelsea head into Saturday’s clash on the back of a 4-0 victory over Malmo in the Champions League on Wednesday.

After Andreas Christensen opened the scoring, Jorginho bagged a brace from the penalty spot before Kai Havertz came off the bench to complete the rout.

When you look at the bigger picture, Tuchel’s side have lost just seven of their previous 44 matches in all competitions.

Norwich, on the other hand, have only managed to win one of their last 11 encounters across all competitions.

The Canaries kicked off their campaign with six straight defeats, conceding 16 goals while scoring just twice.

Since then, however, they have claimed back-to-back goalless draws with Burnley and Brighton – pointing towards a slight upturn.

Not only are Norwich the lowest scorers in the Premier League, but they also have the second-worst defensive record.

Head-to-head: Norwich have failed to beat Chelsea in any of their previous 15 meetings in all competitions.

Chelsea have won 11 of their last 15 matches against Chelsea, picking up four draws along the way. They have also scored over 2.5 goals in eight of those victories.

Team news: Chelsea will be without forward duo Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner on Saturday after they sustained injuries against Malmo in midweek.

As for Norwich, Billy Gilmour is unable to face his parent club. Sam Byram and Christoph Zimmermann remain sidelined through injury.

Given the contrasting form of these two sides, Chelsea look set to seal a comfortable victory on home soil this weekend.

Forebet predicts that Chelsea will score at least two goals and keep a clean sheet en route to dispatching the struggling Canaries.
