The Bundesliga League Leaders Set to Stay at the Top By Beating Frankfurt

Vfl Wolfsburg are perhaps the shock European football so far this season as the Bundesliga side sit top of the German top flight with all 12 points from the 12 available in the bag from four games, just as Eintracht Frankfurt’s tough start to the 2021/22 season continues.

The Wolves have had to grind out results, however, with the 0-0 draw in midweek to the struggling Lille evidence to the fact that things are not entirely easy for them right now, despite the undefeated start.

Nevertheless, with a sensational goal difference right now seeing them score six goals so far and concede just the one, it’s fair to say that the wheels are far from coming off for this side who are shocking all of Germany right now.

Wolfsburg also boast a win over RB Leipzig this season, as they defeated Jesse Marsch’s men 1-0 thanks to a goal from Jerome Roussillon early on in the second half, whilst they have also edged past Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga after Lukas Nmecha scored late on to hand them all three points.

Hertha Berlin also fell to defeat to the league leaders, but it was a narrow victory for Wolfsburg who managed to secure all three points when Nmecha scored once more.

Now, not only are Mark van Bommel’s men one of Europe’s most in-form sides, against Frankfurt, they have a chance to further establish themselves as serious title contenders.

As for Frankfurt, their torrid form under Oliver Glasner continues as they sit just outside the relegation zone and are still winless in the Bundesliga, having let in seven goals and scored just the four so far.

Their three wins and one draw make it near impossible to argue their case for a win here and there isn’t really much of a case for a victory, especially after losing to SV Waldhof Mannheim 07 in the DFB-Pokal.

Waldhof Mannheim are a 3. Liga side and Frankfurt really should have beaten them and as a result, Glasner’s job early on in his career with the Bundesliga side is already on the line.

With this said, and given the fabulous form of Wolfsburg, Forebet predicts the Bundesliga league leaders to get the job done here and kick on towards becoming serious title contenders alongside Bayern and Borussia Dortmund.

Wolfsburg goalscorers, Weghorst and Nmecha will no doubt be licking their lips at the prospect of this weakened Frankfurt side travelling to the Volkswagen Arena.
