Benfica’s Perfect Start to the 2021/22 to Continue With a Victory Over Boavista

Benfica have started the 2021/22 Primeria Liga as good as anybody have in recent times and they have clearly came back with a vengeance after losing out on the title last season to Sporting Lisbon and they can march on with a win over Boavista.

The Portuguese giants have let in an exceptional count of just two goals in five games, which only Vitoria down in 10th can beat with one goal conceded from five fixtures.

On the other hand, Benfica have also notched in 13 goals, which is, by a distance, the most goals scored inside Portugal’s top flight so far.

The form of the Primeria Liga leaders is as good as anybody’s in European football right now, with most teams across the divisions dropping points in some fashion, making SL Benfica one of the teams to watch right now on the continent.

Furthermore, they kept up their unbeaten streak in midweek when they drew 0-0 with Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League, and although a win was expected here, the Portuguese outfit saw 69% of the ball and dominated much of the game.

It has, however, been a relatively easy start for them in Portugal, as facing Moreirense, Arouca, Gil Vicente, Tondela and Santa Clara in their opening five games is not the toughest of draws, especially when you consider the likes of Sporting and Porto have already met each other and took points off one another.

Nevertheless, they are the team to beat once again in Portugal and a win is expected here over a Boavista side who have also started their league campaign in promising fashion.

Ahead of travelling to the league leaders, Boavista have won two, drawn two and lost just the one game which given how they avoided relegation by just the two points last season, is a very commendable feat to date.

What makes their start to the Primeira Liga season all the more impressive is their goals scored, which for a team often fighting relegation, is certainly worth noting.

In fact, only the 'Big Three' and Estoril Praia have scored more than Boavista's seven so far, with the club defeating Gil Vicente and Pacos Ferreira by 3-0 scorelines, while they also beat Santa Clara 2-0 to ensure they sit fifth in the table after five games.

However, despite the positive form, it’s near impossible to see how anyone in Portugal beats Benfica right now and Forebet predicts they will continue their winning form and collect three points here.
