Barcelona tipped to bounce back from UCL thrashing with win over Granada
5073

Barcelona will be looking to bounce back from a heavy loss to Bayern Munich when they welcome Granada to Camp Nou on Monday night.

The Catalans were crushed 3-0 by the German champions in the Champions League last time out, failing to register a single shot on target in the process.

Granada, meanwhile, have made a dreadful start to the season. They find themselves seventeenth in the La Liga table, having recorded two draws and two losses so far.

Things have been going better for Barca in La Liga, however. They are unbeaten in the league this term, taking seven points from a possible nine.

Barcelona thrashed Real Sociedad 4-2 on the opening weekend before registering a 1-1 draw with Athletic Club.

Ronald Koeman’s side bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Getafe on Matchday 3, yet there were completely outplayed – and outclassed – by Bayern in the UCL.

Not only did Barca fail to hit the target last time out, but they also faced a barrage of 17 shots from the German giants.

Still, Barcelona can take confidence from the fact that they have only lost six of their previous 42 matches in all competitions.

On the flip side, Granada kicked off their campaign with back-to-back draws against Villarreal and Valencia.

They have since lost their last two games, however, suffering a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Rayo Vallecano before going down 2-1 to Real Betis.

Having conceded seven goals already this season, Granada have the joint-second worst defensive record in La Liga.

They have only scored two goals in reply, too, meaning they are also among the lowest scorers in Spain’s top tier.

Head-to-head: Granada have only lost two of their last five meetings with Barca, picking up two wins and one draw in the process.

When you look at the bigger picture, though, Granada have only managed to win three of their previous 17 games against the Catalan club.

Team news: Barcelona currently have Martin Braithwaite, Ousmane Dembele, Sergio Aguero, Pedri, and Jordi Alba sidelined through injury.

Granada, on the other hand, will be without injured centre-back Neyder Lozano for their trip to Camp Nou.

Although Barcelona suffered a heavy loss to Bayern last time out, they are expected to return to winning ways against off-form Granada.

Forebet predicts that Barca will score over 2.5 goals and keep a clean sheet on their way to dispatching Granada.
