More Draws Coming in the Bundesliga as Union Berlin Host Gladbach
4113

Union Berlin will welcome Borussia Monchengladbach to the Stadion An der Alten Försterei as both clubs look to get their first wins on the board in what has been a tough start to the new Bundesliga season for each of them.

On one hand, Gladbach had an underwhelming season last time out, while on the other, Union Berlin managed to surpass all expectations and finish seventh in the 2020/21 table.

However, without Marco Rose for Gladbach now and with Berlin potentially outliving their heyday in this division, not too much was expected of either side in the new campaign.

However, it is now absolutely crucial for both sides that they get a win here if they are to attempt any sort of march towards the European spots early on in this Bundesliga season.

As of now, Berlin have two points on the board from their first two games and remain unbeaten, while Gladbach have won one and lost the other.

This poor form will come as a surprise to some Gladbach fans following their decent 1-1 draw with Bayern on the opening day, which seems to start the beginning of what might have been a decent spell for this side going through a transitional period.

Berlin, as mentioned, have two draws so far in the Bundesliga, however, both games saw relatively decent performances from them and they can certainly move forward with confidence following scoring three goals in two games.

These draws saw them clash with Bayer Leverkusen and Hoffenheim, both of whom are two clubs expected to also battle inside the top half with Berlin, so no doubt they have continued some form shown from last season.

However, in the Bundesliga so far, we have witnessed many draws with even the likes of Bayern Munich being involved in one with Gladbach who play here. With this said, Forebet are predicting that Germany’s top flight once again witnesses two sides cancel each other out.

Right now, Gladbach are simply too out of form to potentially get the win and without Rose as their head coach, perhaps they are set to struggle even more than last season.

At the same time, Berlin's move up into the ranks of the Bundesliga giants is continuing and they may even start to gradually chip away at the European spots over the course of this season.

Either way, Forebet doesn’t expect either side to get a win here and therefore continue their winless streaks in the Bundesliga with a high-scoring draw.
