After a dramatic first leg, Legia Warsaw carry a 3-2 advantage into the second leg of their UEFA Champions League qualifier against Bodø/Glimt.

The two sides meet again for the second leg on Wednesday, this time at the Polish Army Stadium – the home of Legia Warsaw.

Luquinhas gave Legia the lead after just two minutes in the first leg, before Mahir Emreli doubled his side’s advantage on the stroke of half-time.

Although Erik Botheim and Pernambuco pulled a couple of goals back for Bodø/Glimt, Emreli netted his second of the game to give his team a first-leg advantage.

With the new Polish Ekstraklasa season not kicking off for a few weeks, last week’s first leg was Legia’s first competitive match since mid-May.

Legia played five friendlies before meeting Bodø/Glimt, recording three wins, one draw and one defeat along the way.

When you look at the bigger picture, Legia have only lost one of their previous 17 games in all competitions.

In term of competitive tournaments, Legia are currently enjoying a 12-match unbeaten streak, having finished their previous domestic campaign with a run of seven wins and four draws.

Meanwhile, Norway’s Eliteserien is in full swing, with Bodø/Glimt kicking off their domestic campaign back in May.

Holding a record of seven wins, three draws and three losses, Bodø/Glimt currently find themselves second in the Norwegian top tier.

Bodø/Glimt started the 2021 campaign in impressive form, losing just one of their opening nine Eliteserien matches.

However, they head into the second leg on a poor run, having only managed to win one of their previous six games in all competitions (three losses, two draws).

Head-to-head: Legia Warsaw and Bodø/Glimt met for the very first time last week, meaning we only have one previous encounter between the teams two assess.

Legia edged the possession with 51% in the first leg, although Bodø/Glimt racked up ten shots – one more than Legia.

Team news: Legia Warsaw have on injury problems at the moment, meaning head coach Czeslaw Michniewicz could stick with the same starting XI that sealed the win last week.

As for Bodø/Glimt, they will be without Morten Konradsen through suspension, following the midfielder’s red card in the first leg.

Following last week’s first leg, Legia Warsaw are expected to claim another high-scoring victory on Wednesday.

For that reason, Forebet predicts that over 5.5 goals will be netted as the Polish side thrash the Norwegian outfit.
