Group F has drawn a lot of attention at the European Championships and on the 19th of June we have a meeting between Hungary and France.

The match will be played at the Puskás Aréna, Budapest and a capacity crowd will be on hand to cheer on the Hungarian team.

However, as things stand in the group, a defeat for Hungary could see them eliminated from the competition following their loss against Portugal in the opening round of fixtures. It appeared as though Hungary were going to hold on to take a point from the game but a deflected goal in the 84th minute gave Portugal the lead.

Hungary needed a goal but instead it was the Portuguese who scored the second goal of the game from the penalty spot and they added a third in injury time to win 3-0.

That defeat means Hungary had failed to win their two most recent matches having been held to a 0-0 draw by Republic of Ireland prior to the tournament.

However, they have tasted just one defeat in their last 12 matches and will be hoping they can avoid another loss against the French.

Trends show Hungary have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 4 games in all competitions, excluding friendly games. In addition, they have seen over 2.5 goals in each of their last 3 matches at the European Championship.

France come into the game on the back of a 1-0 victory over Germany in their opening match of the group.

That result eases the pressure on the French team going into this game and they know a win will be good enough to seal their place in the knockout stages ahead of their meeting with Portugal.

The win over Germany means France have won each of their last 5 games, including friendly matches and are undefeated in their last 8.

They are in a period of 17 straight games without a defeat in all competitions and France have lost only 1 of their 8 most recent fixtures in the European Championship.

France have been good defensively in recent games and they have kept a clean sheet in each of their last 5 matches, including friendlies.

Looking ahead to the team news and Hungary are likely to go with the same starting XI from the Portugal game. Loic Négo will be hoping to force his way into the team having come on as a substitute against the Portuguese.

France are also unlikely to make many changes to the team that started their opening game. Didier Deschamps seems settled on his first XI and changes could come once they have sealed their place in the Round of 16.

Hungary gave a good account of themselves against Portugal but they were second best for much of the match.

France have more than enough to score the goals to win this game and could run out comfortable winners, keeping a clean sheet in the process.
