With the FA Cup quarter-finals taking place this weekend, there are only four fixtures for FPL managers to worry about in Gameweek 29.

Given that just eight of the 20 Premier League teams are in action this weekend, the Wildcard and Free Hit chips are likely to be hugely popular.

Let’s start by taking a look at the Gameweek 29 fixtures.

• Fulham vs. Leeds

• Brighton vs. Newcastle

• Aston Villa vs. Tottenham

• West Ham vs. Arsenal

Fulham and Leeds kick things off on Friday night, before fellow strugglers Brighton and Newcastle face off on Saturday.

Londoners West Ham and Arsenal clash on Sunday afternoon, with Aston Villa and Spurs wrapping things up on Sunday night.

Here are the top FPL picks for Gameweek 29.

Goalkeepers

Brighton vs. Newcastle is destined to be a low-scoring fixture, so Robert Sanchez (Brighton) and Martin Dubravka (Newcastle) will both be confident of keeping a clean sheet this weekend.

Only the bottom two teams have scored fewer goals than Fulham this season, making Illan Meslier (Leeds) a solid goalkeeper option for Gameweek 29.

Aston Villa vs. Tottenham and West Ham vs. Arsenal are likely to produce goals, so it’s probably best to steer clear of their shot-stoppers.

Defenders

As well as the possibility of keeping a clean sheet, Lewis Dunk (Brighton), Joel Veltman (Brighton) and Jamaal Lascelles (Newcastle) have all proven to be attacking threats this term.

Not only is Aaron Cresswell (West Ham) the highest-scoring defender partaking in Gameweek 29, but he is also currently the highest-scoring defender in FPL.

Elsewhere, Stuart Dallas (Leeds), Matt Targett (Aston Villa), Tyrone Mings (Aston Villa) and Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa) are all among the top 15 defenders in the game this season.

Midfielders

Son Heung-min (Tottenham) picked up an injury in the previous round. The South Korean is owned by 53.5% of FPL managers at the moment, but he may not feature this weekend.

Martin Odegaard (Arsenal) scored his first Premier League goal last time out, while Leandro Trossard (Brighton), Pascal Gross (Brighton) and Lucas Moura (Tottenham) all picked up a few points.

Looking at things from a different angle, Jesse Lingard (West Ham) is the seventh-most in-form midfielder in FPL right now.

Forwards

It goes without saying that Harry Kane (Tottenham), Patrick Bamford (Leeds) and Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) are all great forward options for Gameweek 29.

If you’re looking for a differential pick, Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham) and Michail Antonio (West Ham) are worth considering.
