Premier League Fantasy Football Picks – Round 28
4676

With Aston Villa, Sheffield United, Manchester City and Arsenal all sitting out of Matchday 28, there are likely to be plenty of selection dilemmas for Fantasy Premier League managers this week. So, here are a few in-form players to consider for your team.

Can Diogo Jota maintain his remarkable goalscoring run? Will Bruno Fernades continue to impress? Let’s check out this week’s top FPL picks.

Goalkeeper

Rui Patricio – Wolverhampton Wanderers

The Portuguese has kept three consecutive clean sheets and will be confident of keeping another against a depleted Tottenham attack this weekend. With Kane and Son both missing for Spurs, and Wolves playing extremely well at the moment, Rui Patricio is a great pick this week.

Defenders

Fabian Schar – Newcastle United

Newcastle may have been hammered 4-0 by Arsenal recently, but the Magpies have recorded back-to-back clean sheets at home. Not only is Fabian Schar defensively solid, but the centre-back is also a serious threat from set pieces.

Phil Bardsley - Burnley

Phil Bardsley picked up 10 points last weekend after claiming an assist and a clean sheet against Bournemouth. The Clarets defender is an excellent value pick and he is only owned by 0.2% of FPL managers at the moment. Bunrley could be in line for another shutout against low-scoring Newcastle in Round 27.

Midfielders

Bruno Fernandes – Manchester United

Bruno Fernandes has made an instant impact at Manchester United. The Portuguese arrived from Sporting in the January transfer window and already has one goal and two assists to his name in the Premier League. He is expected to play a big role for Man Utd from now until the end of the season.

James Maddison – Leicester City

Leicester travel to Carrow Road to face bottom club Norwich this weekend, providing James Maddison with the ideal opportunity to get some points of the board. The Foxes midfielder hasn’t had much to shout about of late, but a player of his quality won’t stay quiet for long.

Forwards

Diogo Jota – Wolverhampton Wanderers

Diogo Jota followed up his hat-trick in the Europa League by bagging a brace against Norwich last time out. The Wolves forward is in red-hot form and could well add to his tally against a shaky Tottenham defense in Round 27.

Neal Maupay – Brighton & Hove Albion

After ending his goal drought against Sheffield United last weekend, Neal Maupay will be confident of getting on the scoresheet against Crystal Palace on Saturday. Brighton will be desperate to steer clear of the relegation zone in the coming weeks, so Maupay is likely to be thirsty for more goals.
